A local communications company recently became a guinea pig for a new type of air conditioning system. Air conditioning contractors in Huntington Beach, California installed the award-winning Cool-n-Save system for a three month testing period in order to determine if it effectively cools a workspace and operates efficiently. A/C and heating contractors in Huntington say it did the trick, reducing HVAC consumption by as much as 30%. The secret – it releases mist into the air around the cooling unit, and as it evaporates it sucks the heat out of the air. This causes the temperature to drop immediately while still leaving the air dry, so the air conditioner doesn’t have to do as much work to cool the room.
