A Santa Ana, California air conditioning contractor was hospitalized recently after receiving an electric shock while working on an air conditioning unit on a roof. Paramedics were called after the man received the shock and was having difficulty breathing. Fellow Santa Ana A/C and heating contractors say the man is in his early 50s and was alert and communicating when paramedics treated him. When the paramedics arrived they had to call in firefighters to bring the man down from the roof. It took eight firefighters and one ladder truck with a basket and an aerial ladder to safely lower the man, but he’s reported to be in stable condition.
