Bridgeport commuters recently experienced a very scary, unpleasant experience when one of the railroad trains broke down mid journey. The 200 or so passengers were trapped for nearly an hour in over 100-degree temperatures. The worst of it – the air conditioning system wasn’t working. While Bridgeport, Connecticut air conditioning contractors have since repaired the train, the passengers are still upset and are conducting a meeting with the railroad company to voice their outrage. Air conditioning and heating contractors examining the Bridgeport train say the cause of the power outage was the overhead catenary wires which broke, though they are still trying to figure out why the backup power supply didn’t work.
