A Hollywood elementary school experienced a scare recently when eight students had to be treated for heat exhaustion. While local Hollywood, Florida air conditioning contractors say the units in the school are working properly, the school says the problem is that some of the physical education activities were held outside in extreme heat and humidity. The students that suffered heat exhaustion did not drink as much as they were told, leading to their collapse after running a mile. Thankfully all the students were released from the hospital and deemed healthy, but school officials aren’t taking any chances, and have called in Hollywood A/C and heating contractors to inspect the school’s cooling capabilities.
