Detroit, Michigan air conditioning and heating contractors were working overtime during the summer of 2011 when the city experienced the fourth-hottest summer on record. With temperatures reaching 80 degrees or more for 45 consecutive days, and 90-degree weather lasting seven straight days, it’s no wonder the slightest A/C malfunction warranted a frantic call to local Detroit air conditioning contractors. Sprinklers were running, pools were full, and everyone was searching for ways to stay cool during summer vacation. And though July was the hottest month of the year with an average temperature of almost 80 degrees, September finally saw temperatures drop to the 70s and 80s, bringing a long awaited break in the tough heat wave.
