While most newer homes in Durham, North Carolina employ expert air conditioning contractors to install central cooling and heating units, some older homes that lack duct systems rely on single room window units. Though these units can provide adequate cooling for a single room if it’s not too large, a local resident recently discovered a major flaw in these units – they’re portable. While to some that can be a plus, to the Detroit woman whose window unit was stolen, that wasn’t the case. And though the perpetrator was apprehended, the unit sustained some damage and the woman is now considering contacting Durham A/C and heating contractors to install a central unit in her home.
